Dennis Mothoneos
BSc, MAppFin, MBA, CAIA

Managing Director and Principal

Dennis has over 24 years experience in institutional and wholesale business development and client servicing, asset consulting, funds management, and investment research and analysis. He co-founded Clearway Capital over 14 years ago and has successfully helped a number of high-quality overseas and domestic traditional and alternative fund managers to build their businesses in institutional and wholesale markets in Australia and New Zealand. Dennis’s role at Clearway Capital is to originate investments, conduct due diligence on prospective investment opportunities, perform market research, formulate manager brand profiles, provide input into product development, and develop channels to raise capital.  Dennis has worked at several consulting firms and fund managers including van Eyk Research and Strategic Capital Management Limited and alongside a number of pension and institutional clients. Dennis has also been a member of several Investment Committees and Advisory Boards involved in advising institutional and wholesale investors.

Cameron Harris

Business Development Consultant

Cameron has developed a 25-year career in the financial services industry in distribution and distribution leadership roles. He has worked in Australia and in the UK covering equities, fixed Income, credit, private markets, real estate and alternatives. Whilst the bulk of Cameron’s career was spent at Macquarie Group at Associate Director level, he has also worked with global institutions such as ABN AMRO, ING Asset Management and Deutsche Bank. With an established track record of raising capital in the wholesale sector, Cameron has developed a significant network allowing him to understand the diverse requirements of allocators of capital. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment.

Gordon Wing-Lun
BEng (Hons), BSc, MBA

Strategic Partner

Gordon has over 20 years' experience in transaction and origination experience in asset funding, operating and finance leases, cross-border leases and infrastructure and PPP proposals. Gordon has recently been consulting via his own company across several assignments including renewable energy, resources and PPP’s including infrastructure and transportation. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of the Singapore Branch of HSH Nordbank. Gordon has also held a number of senior roles in corporate, financial institutions and government entities including Head of Commercial & Structure Finance at NM Rothschild, Head of Structured Finance and Leasing at BNP Paribas and General Manager Corporate Finance at the NSW Treasury Corporation. Gordon works with Clearway Capital Solutions as a Strategic Partner on deal sourcing, advisory and capital raising for various infrastructure and real estate projects.

Michael Negline

Business Development Director

Michael has over 25 years experience in institutional sales, client service, consultant relations and executive management.  He has led institutional and wholesale sales teams in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region (covering Korea, Hong Kong and South East Asia) with broad experience across equity, debt and alternative asset classes. Michael has been responsible for multiple billions in institutional and wholesale capital raising across the Asia Pacific region as well as significant experience structuring businesses and building, aligning and leading sales teams.  With over 17 years of country head and regional leadership responsibilities, Michael was also a member of the Allianz Global Investors Asia Pacific Executive Committee from 2011 to 2015 and co-Founder of Allianz Global Investors Global Consultant Relations Committee in 2001.

Tim Cheung

Non-Executive Director

Tim Cheung is a co-founder and CEO of Mantis Funds, an alternative fund platform that was established in 2020 to help connect Australian investors with the world’s leading private equity, alternative debt, and hedge funds. Tim also serves as a partner at LSL Partners, a principal investment firm focused on the financial services and fintech spaces. He serves as a board member of Payreq Limited and Forum Care Limited and is also on the advisory board of Vield Holdings Pty Ltd. Tim has successfully built and led investment businesses for more than a decade. Prior to launching LSL Partners, Tim gained experience at Perpetual Investments and Morphic Asset Management where he focused on Asian investments as a Senior Analyst and Head of Research respectively. Tim commenced his buy-side career at Colonial First State Global Asset Management where he was the Head of Investment Analytics for the Infrastructure Investment team. Prior to joining Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Tim was a research analyst at Commonwealth Securities covering Australian gaming, media and industrial companies. During his career, Tim has gained experience across all major asset classes including listed equity, private equity and corporate debt. This global experience covers the spectrum from passive minority positions through to activist and control investing.

Greg Hickling
BBus, MAppFin, CFA, GAICD

Compliance Consultant

Greg has over 30 years’ experience in asset consulting, funds management and investment banking and a long history in alternative assets and credit markets as well as company management and statutory positions. Greg was a co-founding Partner at HHR Capital Partners, a specialist private debt investment manager and advisory firm. Prior to HHR Capital Partners, Greg was appointed to the Board as an Executive Director at Brookvine where he helped develop and launch several specialist investment products. He was a Responsible Manager under the company AFSL. Previously at Citi, Greg was a member elected director of the Trustee Board charged with oversight of the Citi Employees’ Pension Plan. Greg assists in managing Clearway Capital’s in-house compliance regime as well as supporting its interface with the regulator and related service providers.
